The 12th-ranked IUP women finished the non-conference portion of their schedule yesterday with a 76-61 win over Ohio Dominican in their first road game of the season.
Senior Courtney Alexander led the way for IUP with a career-high 24 points. She was one of four Crimson Hawks in double figures as she nailed five three-pointers. Justine Mascara scored 15 points. Freshman Gina Adams had her first career double-double, with 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Maria Cerro added 11 points.
IUP is 6-0 headed to Friday’s PSAC opener on the road at Kutztown. It will be the first doubleheader of the season, with the 5-0 men on the court after the women, and the two teams will follow it up Saturday with a doubleheader at West Chester.
