Before they enjoyed their Thanksgiving dinner, the Steelers took to the practice field yesterday, and safety Minkah Fitzpatrick was there, having been activated from the reserve/covid list.
Joe Haden practiced for the first time since being injured against Detroit two weeks ago. He was listed as “limited”, as was linebacker TJ Watt. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was also listed as limited after sitting out practice on Wednesday.
Guard Trai Turner and defensive lineman Isaiah Loudermilk were elevated to full participation, while guard JC Hassenauer and tight end Eric Ebron remained out. Defensive back Arthur Mallet was out due to illness and return man Ray- Ray McCloud remained on the covid list.
Coach Mike Tomlin says the game Sunday against the Bengals is a must-win for the Steelers.
Roethlisberger says the Bengals will be facing a much better Steelers team than they did when Cincinnati won, 24-10 the first time they played in September.
The Steelers and Bengals kick off in Cincinnati on Sunday shortly after 1. The airtime on WDAD is noon.

In Thanksgiving Day football, the bears beat the Lions, 16-14 on a 28-yard Cairo Santos field goal as time expired. Daniel Carlson fifth field goal of the game, from 29 yards out, gave the Raiders a 36-33 win over the Cowboys in overtime. The Bills crushed the Saints in New Orleans, 31-6.
