At Steelers practice yesterday, linebacker TJ Watt returned to the field but was limited. He has hip and knee injuries suffered against Detroit two weeks ago and missed last Sunday’s game against the Chargers.
Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick remained on the reserve/covid list and did not practice. Cornerback Joe Haden was out with his foot injury, and guard Trai Turner, guard JC Hassenauer, and tight end Eric Ebron also missed practice. Ebron’s knee injury appears to be the most serious of all the injured players.
Defensive lineman Isaiah Loudermilk returned to practice but was limited. Defensive end Cam Heyward was given the day off.
Former Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward is again a semifinalist for the NFL Hall of Fame. The list of players making it to the next round of nominees was released yesterday. Ward has made it to the semis six straight years but has never been a finalist.
There are six wide receivers among the 26 semifinalists named yesterday.
Eligible former Steelers who did not make it to the semis include Heath Miller, Casey Hampton, Gary Anderson, and Hardy Nickerson.
