Ben Roethlisberger cleared covid protocols and flew to Los Angeles last night to rejoin his teammates in time to start tonight’s game against the Chargers. Big Ben missed last week’s tie with Detroit after testing positive for covid-19. Coach Mike Tomlin says he expects Roethlisberger to start tonight despite missing over a week.
The news is not as good for the rest of the players on the watch list. Cornerback Joe Haden (foot), safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (covid) and linebacker TJ Watt (hip and knee) will not play and guard Kevin Dotson (high ankle sprain) was placed on injured reserve yesterday.
Tonight’s game airs on WDAD, starting with the pregame at 6:00.
