The Indiana Arts Council has named its new Executive Director.
Following an extensive search, Nicole Battestilli was announced as the new executive director. A Punxsutawney native, Battestilli attended IUP for her undergraduate degree where she majored in Theater and minored in Dance. She worked at Footlight Players Theater-for-Youth camp as an intern, then as a choreographer and general manager. Battestilli said in a news release that she’s “thrilled to return to Indiana,” and that she always “loved the charm of this community and cannot wait to help the already thriving arts community here blossom even more.”
Battestilli is also currently the Marketing Director at City Theatre in Pittsburgh.
