The United Way held their annual Turkeython on WCCS on Friday and totals look to be close to where they were pre-pandemic.
Factoring in collections made yesterday at various locations in Indiana County and pledges from people listening to Indiana in the Morning, the United Way announced that so far, they have a total of $43,497.84, and that number will rise as people continue to respond to the fundraiser.
United Way Executive Director Jane Lockard was quick to thank all the volunteers that helped.
The money raised will go to the United Way to help its member organizations, and will be matched by local grocers to provide food and food cards to organizations that provide food to those less fortunate in Indiana County.
