After the Steelers’ three-day minicamp ended yesterday, Mike Tomlin can’t wait for training camp to start at St. Vincent College in Latrobe next month, but he’s going to have to. The coach is going to have to find something to occupy his time while waiting for his players to finish up their offseason.
Tomlin says minicamp is a helpful step in offseason preparations for training camp.
Tomlin says he told the team to come to Latrobe in shape and ready to get to work.
Players report to St. Vincent on July 24th and the first practice is the next day. Tomlin says he anticipates that all ninety players will be healthy and ready to practice, and he notably avoided singling out linebacker Cole Holcomb, who is coming back from major knee surgery.

The NFL has taken away the Atlanta Falcons’ 2025 5th round draft choice as the penalty for tampering this offseason. The league says the Falcons had “improper contact” with three free agents, quarterback Kirk Cousins, wide receiver Darnell Mooney, and tight end Charlie Woerner. Atlanta was also fined $250,000 and general manager Terry Fontenot was docked $50,000.
The Philadelphia Eagles were also investigated following the signing of Saquon Barkley, but the league cleared Philly due to lack of evidence.
