UPDATE (AS OF 8:25 AM)
Blairsville Borough Police say Curt Gamble was riding his bicycle west on East Campbell street and failed to stop at a stop sign posted at the intersection with North Brady Street and was hit by a vehicle driven by Michael Repine of Blairsville.
Gamble was life flighted to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center for treatment of what fire officials described as a head injury. Repine was not hurt.
Gamble’s condition was not released.
One person was hurt in a crash Tuesday morning in Blairsville Borough.
Blairsville and Black Lick firefighters and Citizens’ Ambulance Service members were summoned to East Campbell Street around 11:59 for a crash involving a bicycle and a car. While no official crash report has been released yet, Blairsville fire officials say the operator of the bike suffered a head injury and a landing zone was set up along Bentley Drive around 12:01 for transport.
The driver of the car was unharmed. Once we get more information, we will pass it along to you.
