The Penns Manor School Board will meet tonight and next year’s budget headlines a very busy agenda.
According to the draft agenda, the budget for 2024-25 comes out to $19,960,179 in expenses and $19,536,504 in revenues, leaving a deficit of $423,675. To cover that deficit, the board will consider borrowing from the district’s fund balance, leaving property taxes at 15.3786 mils.
The board will also tackle a number of personnel matters, including the hiring of 10 teachers for the Penns Manor Area Cyber Academy, and the resignation of head boys’ track and field coach Thomas Huber and the posting of that position immediately. They will also consider an agreement with NovaCare Rehabilitation to provide athletic training services to the district for the upcoming school year.
