The Steelers fumbled twice in overtime and the Lions missed a game-winning field goal in a 16-16 tie at Heinz Field.
A 51-yard field goal from Steelers kicker Chris Boswell tied the game early in the fourth quarter, and the teams traded punts until the end of regulation.
Mason Rudolph passed for 242 yards with a touchdown and an interception, while Najee Harris rushed for 105 yards.
Ben Roethlisberger missed the game after being placed on the Covid-19 list. TJ Watt injured his hip and knee in the third quarter and didn’t return.
The Steelers are in second place in the AFC North with a 5-3-1 record. It was the first time Detroit hasn’t lost in 2021.
