More cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Indiana County Schools.
Indiana School District Superintendent Michael Vuckovich announced this morning that three cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the district. One of them at the Junior High complex and the other two at East Pike. Those will be added to the rolling 14 day count in the district, but it will also result in 40 additional students and staff to be quarantined. According to the district’s Covid-19 dashboard, two students at the Senior High are on the rolling 14 day count, five students between the combined junior high and Eisenhower, one student at Horace Mann, two students at Ben Franklin and four staffers at East Pike.
Homer-Center’s Covid dashboard shows six cases of Covid-19, including three high school students, two elementary students and one elementary staffer. All protocols have been followed, and in five of the six cases, no close contacts were identified, but the sixth case, an elementary student case reported on November 13th, close contacts were notified.
River Valley School District reports five student cases at Saltsburg Elementary, four student and two employee cases at Blairsville Elementary, six students and two employees at River Valley Middle School, and three students and three employees at River Valley High School. The district also reported one case among River Valley campus employees.
At Purchase Line, one Covid case is on their current case count for the elementary school, while four students and one staffer at the high school have confirmed cases of Covid-19.
Penns Manor, United and Marion Center have not reported any recent cases.
