Triangle Tech is expected to close all six locations across Pennsylvania in the coming months.
According to a statement released earlier this week, the decision to close Triangle Tech came on the heels of challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic, changes in the industry landscape and strenuous government regulations. They add declining enrollment was a factor in the decision.
Currently 261 students are enrolled in the technical school’s six locations, including Greensburg and DuBois, and 110 people are on the school’s staff. Timothy McMahon, president emeritus at Triangle Tech, said the school “intends to fully honor its commitment to provide education and services to these students.”
Each student will receive a $1,500 scholarship to assist them in completing their degrees. Staff members affected will receive support from the school.
