PennDOT crews are getting ready to start repairs on four small slides along Park Drive South in Young Township.
The road between the intersection of Route 286 and Blacklegs Road will be closed starting June 17th to the end of September. Work will include excavation, the installation of a rock embankment, installing a new guiderail and repaving the road. A detour will be in place where motorists will take Route 286 towards Indiana to McIntyre Road, where they will turn left. They will then make another left on Park Drive. Traffic going the other direction will follow Park Drive North, turn right on to McIntyre Road, then Right onto Route 286.
The $1.65 million project will wrap up in October of 2024. Francis J. Palo construction company will work on the project.
