State police have released more information on a crash that happened yesterday in White Township.
The crash was reported at 11:09 AM on West Pike just west of Walker Lane. 19-year-old Allison Rummel of Clymer and 75-year-old Ronald Townsend of Indiana were both going west when Townsend slowed down and put his turn signal on to turn left. Rummel did not slow down and rear-ended Townsend’s pickup truck. Rummel’s car was disabled and in the middle of the road, while the pickup truck was able to pull off the side of the road.
Citizens Ambulance EMTs checked out both drivers, but neither one was injured. Both vehicles were towed. Troopers, Indiana Fire Association members and Citizens’ Ambulance EMTs were on the scene for about 20 minutes.
