On Tuesday night, the United School Board approved a cooperative agreement to combine the Blacklick Valley and United football teams.
The new team, called the United Valley Lions, will play their games in the Heritage Conference. Superintendent Barbara Parkins said that both football teams have experienced struggles on and off the field.
The board also approved a proposal from McClure Company to conduct its annual service and tune-up service on the district’s boiler and water heaters, along with checking operations of all controls, and make adjustments on as needed at a cost of $4,209 to the district.
