Today is the start of the D-II College World Series and the IUP Baseball team is in Carey, NC at the USA Baseball Complex for their first-round matchup against Point Loma.
The Crimson Hawks enter the national championship tourney for the first time, going in as Atlantic Region champions after winning the super-regional over Seton Hill last weekend. The winner of today’s game between IUP and Point Loma will advance to the winner’s bracket to take on the winner of Central Missouri and Angelo state on Monday. If they lose, they take on the loser of that game as part of a double-elimination tourney.
Game time is 1:30 this afternoon.
