The Pirates started their seven game home-stand with a 5-2 victory over St. Louis Friday night at PNC Park.
St. Louis started the scoring with Jedd Gyorko hitting a two-run home run in the first inning. Josh Bell got his first hit of the night with an RBI Grounder to right field that scored Gerritt Cole in the bottom of the third. Gregory Polanco tied the game with an RBI Single in the bottom of the 5th. In the bottom of the 9th, Josh Bell would win the game with a three-run homer to left field.
The Pirates and Cardinals play tonight starting at 6:40 on WCCS.
