Several different court proceedings will be held today in Indiana County Court, including a preliminary hearing for a man charged in connection with an incident on Homecoming Weekend.
20-year-old Elijah Page of Braddock will go before District Judge Guy Haberl this morning to answer to charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia along with possession of an instrument of crime and carrying a firearm without a license. The charges were connected to a traffic stop at 11:45 PM on October 2nd in the 900 block of Philadelphia Street. Indiana Borough Police pulled the vehicle over for multiple violations, but then found illegal marijuana and seized the vehicle. A search of the vehicle uncovered a handgun under the front passenger seat along with more marijuana.
After the search, police issued a warrant for Page’s arrest. He was arrested and arraigned on October 12th and has been in Indiana County Jail on $10,000 unsecured bail.
