Three hundred items from the personal collection of Roberto Clemente were auctioned off yesterday at the All-Star Fan Fest in Miami, and the sale raised a record amount of money. The top item was the 1967 National League Silver Batting Championship award, which sold for $493,500, topping the previous record of $313,500 for Mickey Mantle’s 1956 silver batting championship award. Clemente’s eight Gold Gloves were sold as a lot, for $640,375.
