Plea and sentencing hearings are scheduled for Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas today, including the plea hearing for one of the people accused in the kidnapping and killing of a West Wheatfield Township man in October of 2022.
20-year-old Taylyn Nashell Edwards of Johnston is due to enter pleas to charges of criminal homicide, kidnapping to facilitate a felony, kidnapping to induce terror, aggravated assault and conspiracy to all those crimes and statutory sexual assault for the death of 19-year-old Hayden Garreffa. State police said that Edwards and seven others allegedly kidnapped Garreffa from his grandmother’s home in Buffington Township, beat him and stabbed him several times in a field near Onedia Mine Road in Brush Valley Township and left his body there.
