On Tuesday night, the River Valley School Board approved the 2024-25 budget for advertisement.
Continuing a trend that has gone on for several years, the board was presented with a balanced budget, this time at $36,834,784, with no tax increase for district residents. Superintendent Philip Martell said that things could still change based on how much the state will give to the district, but he feels that financially, the district is in a good place.
The vote was 6-3 with Melanie Pantalone, Beverly Carnese and Jessica Clawson voting against it. The budget will go up for final adoption next month.
