At a work session on Tuesday, Indiana Borough Council approved advertising a modified version of the transient retail business ordinance.
According to borough manager Nicole Sipos said that the changes would allow food trucks one day a week during summer. Currently the ordinance does not allow food trucks on borough streets.
Borough council will continue to hear comment on the issue, and the amended ordinance will be up for approval at a future meeting.
Council also approved two resolutions to apply for DCED Greenways, Trails and Recreation program grants for two projects. One would be to pay for materials and plants on Vinegar Hill and the other would be to create a dog park and for cleanup at McGregor Park.
