State police on Thursday investigated a threatening Snapchat message that included a threat directed at River Valley High School.
Police say the threat was found to have previously reported to and investigated by the FBI. Troopers were dispatched to the Blairsville campus at 3:51 PM in response to the posting. With the assistance of the FBI, State Police from Greensburg and Jeannette City Police, it was learned the post was actually a year old, but was re-shared numerous times on social media after screenshots and photos of the post displayed on cell phones were taken.
There were no credible threats discovered towards River Valley High School or any of the other schools in the area.
