The national average cost of a gallon of gas continues to increase, but a decrease in demand has slowed that trend.
Triple A reports that as of this morning, the average cost of a gallon of gas in the United States is $3.40, an increase of a penny from yesterday and three cents from last Friday. Total domestic gasoline stocks decreased over the last week by 2 million barrels, and gasoline demand also saw a decrease of roughly 310,000 barrels a day, bringing demand to 9.32 million barrels a day.
