Indiana High School’s Nico Fanella finished as the runner-up in the PA freestyle state championship wrestling tournament.
Fanella lost in the finals to Bishop McCort’s Jax Forrest after scoring the first takedown and a push out. Forrest is the PIAA state champion who recently lost, 5-4, in the U.S. Olympic trials.
Fanella qualifies for the national freestyle tournament in Fargo, North Dakota in July.
