The weekly high school football rankings by PennLive.com still have Homer-Center in the Class A top ten, despite the Wildcats losing to Muncy, 17-16, last Friday.
Homer-Center dropped a slot to number eight in the state. Muncy ascended to the number 2 spot, behind Old Forge. Steelton-Highspire is third, followed by Canton, Redbank Valley, Tri-Valley, Williams Valley, then Homer-Center, Clairton, and Juniata Valley, which upset Bellwood- Antis last week.
In Class AA, Cambria Heights, which will play Windber in the Appalachian Bowl this Saturday night at Penns Manor, is rated a “Team to watch.” Windber is number six.

Congratulation to United’s Addison Sutton, who last night recorded her 1,000th career assist. She had 18 on the night to bring her total to 1,003 but the Lions dropped their match against Forest Hills, 3-0. It was a close match, with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, and 26-24. For United, Kaitlynn Dill had 14 kills and 13 digs. Forest Hills won the JV match, 2-0.
