Pre-trial hearings are scheduled for Indiana County’s court of common pleas today, including one for a man charged with trying to elude police and throwing nails on a roadway.
24-year-old Mark McCloskey of Homer City was charged with evading arrest or detention on foot, terroristic threats, criminal trespass and scattering rubbish for the incident on December 5th of 2023. State police said at the time that they were called out to a home on Route 403 in Buffington Township for a report of a man scattering rubbish and throwing nails on the roadway. When police confronted McCloskey, he allegedly threatened to slit their throats before fleeing. He was found hiding on the second floor of a nearby barn.
He has been in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail since his arrest.
