WHAT WE PREVIOUSLY REPORTED
A plea court hearing is set for today for a woman charged with child endangerment and drug-related crimes.
Court documents show that a plea court hearing will be held today for 33-year-old Alicia Brumbaugh, who was charged in connection with an incident on November 12th of 2019. Police had filed a missing person report on her and her two children on November 11th of that year. The next day, police filed charges against her after they found her with her kids and her father-in-law, 56-year-old Edgar Lee Decker, Jr. in a car in White township. After Brumbaugh and the kids were reported missing and a search for them at the Walmart in White Township failed to turn up anything, police released more information about the vehicle they were seen in. Someone recognized the vehicle in Armstrong Township and called state police. Police pulled the vehicle over at 10:45 AM at the intersection of Routes 422 and 286. Police found suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in her purse. Brumbaugh faces two counts of endangering the welfare of children, along with one count each of possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia.
Also on the docket today are several sentencing hearings, including one for Richard R. Larock, who pleaded guilty on June 25th of this year to 12 counts each of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault of someone under the age of 13 along with six counts of corruption of minors. The charges date back to New Year’s Day of 2014.
Also, Rebecca Ann Atherton is scheduled to be sentenced for two cases. In one case from May of 2018, she pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking, ID theft, and access device fraud. The other case was from October of 2020, where she was charged with two counts of retail theft.
