On Thursday night, the Homer-Center School Board talked about issues with the scoreboard at Memorial Field.
Recently, the 40-year-old scoreboard broke during one of the home football games, and the process is underway to get sponsorships for the new scoreboard, according to district superintendent Curtis Whitesel.
The fundraising effort is only three days old, and they have one sponsor on board already.
In other business, three members of the board were honored for their years of service by the Pennsylvania School Boards Association. Board President Michael Bertig was honored for eight years of service, Gerald Bertig was honored for 16 years and Vicki Smith was honored for 24 consecutive years of service.
The board also approved a salary adjustment for district business manager Gregg Kalemba to $88,000, retroactive to July 1st of this year.
