The NHL released the lists of players teams are protecting from Wednesday’s expansion draft.
Marc-Andre Fleury was not among the nine players protected by the Pens, opening the door for his departure to Las Vegas.
Some of the other players left unprotected were Bryan Rust, Carl Hagelin and Ian Cole.
