Indiana downed Greensburg Salem, 3-1, in a Senior Night section match yesterday. Emily Madey had 19 assists, two aces, and seven digs. Audrey Josephson 18 assists, five aces, and seven digs. Abbie Huey had 16 kills and six digs. Peyton Ream had 10 kills and four digs. Lizzy Lubold had four blocks and six digs. Lauren Brocious 17 digs. JV lost their match 1-2.
Indiana recognized eight seniors for their senior night: Mia Ciocca, Lily Cunningham, Audrey Josephson, Lizzy Lubold, Sarah Madey, Hannah Mogle, Peyton Ream, and Natalie Schaeffer.
Homer-Center swept Ligonier Valley, holding the Rams to just 10, 14, and 16 points in three sets. Macy Sardone has 11 service points and eight aces. Marlee Kochman had nine kills and 15 service points, and Meegan Williams and Gabi Page each had nine kills.
JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL
The Indiana Junior High football team beat Elizabeth Forward, 25-8, yesterday. Levi Porter tossed a 27-yard touchdown pass to Jacob Snyder. Tyler Rifendifer scored on a 5-yard run and added the two point conversion. Jackson Albert also scored, on a 15-yard run. Indiana sacked the Warriors quarterback six times. Korbin Rhoades and Rifendifer each had two and Dominic Fanella and Porter also had sacks. The defense also forced 3 fumbles. Indiana is 5-1 and plays its final game a week from today at home against Greensburg Salem, 6 PM.
