Police in Clymer have charged a Clymer man with harassment for an incident on May 10th.
Police say they were called out at 6:53 PM to an apartment in the 500 block of Franklin Street for a reported assault. Once there, police were able to learn from the victim that her boyfriend, 57-year-old Jimmy Bender, hit her in the left arm, then left the apartment on foot. Police found him at a nearby restaurant, and after speaking with him, cleared the scene with Bender being free to go.
A summary non-traffic citation was filed with district judge Christopher Welch’s office.
