An Ernest woman is due in court today for a preliminary hearing on charges of abusing a child.
25-year-old Paige Madison Sue Walker will go before District Judge Robert Bell, Sr. today for the hearing on two counts each of aggravated assault, child endangerment, simple assault and harassment in connection with incidents that went back to February 1st of this year. The charges were filed on May 1st after the State Police Criminal Investigation Unit received reports of the abuse on February 26th at an apartment on Main Street in Ernest Borough. She has been free after a bail bondsman posted $20,000 bond.
Also due in District Court today is Christine Ann Hayden of Greensburg. She is charged with two counts of child endangerment from January 7th of this year.
