Altoona split a doubleheader with Somerset yesterday, losing the first game, 5-2, and winning the second, 3-1. Anthony Solometo gave up three runs in three innings in Game One and the Curve did not get its first hit until the 5th inning.
In the second game, highly-rated prospect Thomas Harrington finally made his Double-A debut and allowed just a walk, which was erased by a double play. Coming off a shoulder injury that slowed his arrival to the Curve, Harrington struck out four. Joe Perez homered for the Curve.
Altoona is off today and will open a series in Akron tomorrow.
