Recruiting efforts have been going on for Indiana Borough Police Department.
Currently, there are 21 officers on the force, which is the limit, but they are currently testing to have a new list of potential officers per the civil service requirements in case there is an opening, as the current list is set to expire. (In an interview on Indiana in the Morning), Officer Zachary Newell said recruitment efforts have included heaving out to several colleges.
Newell said they are looking for people who want to make a positive impact in Indiana Borough.
Today is the deadline to receive applications with May 18th being set aside for the civil service test, including physical fitness and written exams. Applications can be found at the police department’s webpage or by going to the police station to fill out a paper copy.
