Two people were sentenced this morning in Indiana County Court during their plea court hearings.
29-year-old Paige Bekina of Punxsutawney was in court today and pleaded guilty in three cases. In one case, she pleaded to a count of possession of drug paraphernalia, and she pleaded guilty to possession in the other two. Any other charges were not prosecuted. She was ordered to serve one year of probation for each charge, but the probation charges for possession will run concurrently, and the drug paraphernalia-related probation will run consecutive to the possession sentence.
Also sentenced today was 36-year-old Mark Snyder of Connellsville, who pleaded guilty to a charge of receiving stolen property from a case in January of this year. Along with paying costs and fines, he was ordered to serve 9 months to a day less than two years in Indiana County Jail and will also serve three years of probation after he is paroled.
