Altoona lost to Somerset, 7-4, yesterday afternoon despite a strong start from Po-Yu Chen, who went six innings and gave up just one run on five hits and a walk while striking out three. Relievers Grant Ford and Valentin Linarez got knocked around, each giving up three runs over the next two innings. Outfielder Dustin Peterson had two hits for the Curve.
Tonight, right-hander Drake Fellows starts for the Curve, making his second appearance of the season. A cancer survivor whose development has been delayed due to his treatments for anaplastic large cell lymphoma, Fellows was acquired along with David Bednar, Endy Rodriguez, pitcher Omar Cruz, and outfielder Hudson Head in the Joe Musgrove trade in 2021.
