Drivers in Indiana Borough and White Township may see some extra bicycle traffic today as kids take part in Bike to School Day.
The doors to the KCAC will open at 7:15 this morning, with the ride scheduled to start at 8:00. The bike ride will be guided by members of Indiana Borough Police Department, county sheriffs, staff from the Indiana County Office of Planning and Development and the IUP institute for Rural Health and Safety. Parents are asked to make sure their child has a safe, size and skill-appropriate bike and well-fitted safety gear. There will also be some safety checks performed by Indiana Cycling Center, and pre-ride snacks will be provided by IRMC.
Participants are asked to arrive no later than 7:45 this morning. Participation is free, and parents are welcome to join in.
