On Wednesday, White Township Supervisors granted permission to some of the township staff to make recommendations on who would be named to the Woodlot Management Plan subcommittee.
Township manager Milt Lady said that they received applications from 20 different people to be a part of the subcommittee, and he was encouraged by their interest.
Lady said that he expects the process to take a month at the most, and that the committee will be made up of five to seven members.
In other business, the supervisors approved a resolution that allows the township to appropriate money from the American Rescue Plan to the 2021 budget for future expenditures. The Township wants to use the money for the Route 286 East Sewer Extension Project and the Chevy Chase storm water project.
