ICCAP, Center Township and Homer City officials reported a successful food distribution event last weekend, and another distribution is planned for this Saturday to distribute the remaining boxes of food.
Officials reported that 800 boxes of food were dispersed at four sites throughout the township, but there are 200 boxes of food left over, so another food distribution site will be set up. This time, it will be at only one location: the Center Township Offices at 1212 Neal Road. The food distribution will be held from 9 AM to Noon on Saturday, October 16th. This time, there will be no pre-registration. It will be first-come, first-served.
The food boxes were acquired with CDBG-CV funds from both Homer City and Center Townships, and residents from both areas are eligible to pick up a box. Those who already received a box are eligible to receive another box.
