HOMER CENTER VS. WEST SHAMOKIN
It was a thriller for the Homer Center and West Shamokin girls last night as the Wildcats beat the Wolves in a five-setter. Homer Center won the first set, 25-18, but dropped the next two, 25-23 and 25-20, before rallying to win the final two sets, 25-22 and 18-16.
Ashlyn Kerr lead the Wildcats with 22 service points. Meegan Williams had 21 kills; Marlee Kochman had 10; Bela Bence had 14 service points and served game point in game 5. Anna Cutshall and Mya Fatula had a total of 49 digs.
Homer-Center also won the JV game in a close one, dropping the first set 25-13 and winning the next two, 25-19 and 16-14.
CAMBRIA HEIGHTS VS. MARION CENTER
Marion Center beat Cambria Heights, 3-1, taking the first two sets, 29-27 and 25-15, before dropping the third set, 25-22 and winning the fourth, 25-16.
Shawna Cook had 15 kills, Kaelee Elkin had 14 and Adison Gromley had 10. Maggie Shadle had 22 digs. Abbey Smulik recorded 42 assists. Smulik and Tori Gearhart lead the team in service points.
Marion Center also won the JV match, 25-19 and 25-16, and they also won both Junior High matches, 2-0.
WOODLAND HILLS VS. INDIANA
Indiana swept Woodland Hills 3-0 in a home section match.
Emily Madey had 21 assists; Audrey Josephson had 16; Abbie Huey had 11 kills, and Peyton Ream had 10;. Lizzy Lubold had 3 aces and 3 blocks; Lauren Brocious had 13 digs and Lily Cunningham had 11.
JV also won their match 2-0.
