The Steelers’ JuJu Smith-Schuster will reportedly have surgery for a dislocated shoulder this week and be put on injured reserve, possibly ending his season, according to the NFL Network and ESPN.
Coach Mike Tomlin will be expected to talk about that and other injuries suffered in Sunday’s win over Denver when he holds his weekly news conference at noon today. Smith-Schuster injured the shoulder when he was tackled during a sweep in the first quarter.
One of the Steelers’ best units, the wide receiver corps has been beset with injuries in recent weeks. Diontae Johnson has returned from a knee injury and Chase Claypool played despite a sore hamstring on Sunday. James Washington missed Sunday’s game with a groin injury.
The Steelers play the Seahawks at Heinz Field on Sunday night.
