Indiana Borough Police have released five surveillance video images of the suspects believed to have been involved in the armed robbery of a vehicle Sunday night at 220 West Avenue, and they are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.
The three suspects approached an 18-year-old male IUP student as he parked his car at 220 West Avenue. One of them opened the driver’s door and demanded the keys to the car. When the driver refused, a second man pulled up his shirt to reveal a handgun tucked into his waistband, and he also demanded that the driver surrender the keys. The driver and his passenger exited the vehicle and the three suspects got into the car and drove away, making their way onto School Street and heading toward Oakland Avenue.
The car, a 2011Toyota Camry with Pennsylvania license plate NDW 9956, has not been recovered.
The still images of the three men show them at a store and are posted here. They can also be found on Indiana Borough’s Facebook page. Anyone with information on the identities of the suspects or with knowledge of their travels is urged to call Borough Police at 724-349-2121.
