TUESDAY’S VOLLEYBALL, GOLF, SOCCER RESULTS

VOLLEYBALL:

The Indiana girls lost to Plum, 3-0 last night. For Indiana, Emily Madey had 19 assists, nine digs, and two aces. Abbie Huey led in kills with nine. Lily Cunningham and Lauren Brocious each had 11 digs.

Indiana JV also lost their match, 2-0.

Homer-Center swept River Valley, 3-0, with scores of 25-18, 28-26, and 25-17. Marlee Kochman had 17 kills and five blocks. Meegan Williams had 10 kills and Mya Fatula had 18 digs.

Marion Center (6-4) won its varsity match 3-0 against Penns Manor. 25-18, 25-19, and 25-17. Shawna Cook led with 15 kills, Kaelee Elkin had 10, and Adison Gromley had 8. Abbey Smulik had 34 assists.

Marion Center won the JV match 2-0, 25-23, 25-22, and also the Junior High matches:

9th grade: 25-18, 25-8

7th & 8th grade: 25-18, 25-13

GOLF:

Indiana sophomores Harrison Martineau and Trevor Todd both came up short on Tuesday in their bid to advance to the PIAA state golf championships at Nemacolin Country Club.

Martineau shot an 81 while Todd shot an 86. All scores of 78 or better were in the top 14 scores, which advanced to the state championship. Penn Trafford’s sophomore Nick Turowski, the WPIAL champion, led the way with an even par 70.
