Indiana Regional Medical Center announced the recipients of their Physician and Allied Health Practitioner Excellence Awards earlier this week.
Dr. Andrew Billon has been awarded IRMC’s James A. Garrettson, MD, Physician Excellence Award for 2024. This award recognizes physicians demonstrating outstanding leadership, clinical expertise, and service at IRMC. Billon, who works in the Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery office, graduated from the American University of the Caribbean in 1984 and was nominated by his peers for being “a role model and promoting the values and mission of IRMC.”
Colleen McHugh, a certified registered nurse anesthetist at IRMC since 2003, received the Allied Health Practitioner Excellence Award. This accolade honors allied health practitioners exhibiting excellence in patient care, clinical leadership, and professional service. McHugh was also nominated by her peers for her leadership qualities and her attentiveness to upholding the values and mission of IRMC.
Additionally, Dr. Matthew Nettleton, Dr. Haney Wahba, Dr. Joseph Lamantia, and Dr. Shenggao Han were recognized for their 20 years of dedicated service at IRMC.
