Earlier this week, the Armstrong-Indiana Intermediate Unit announced their plans for their share of the American Rescue Plan funds they will receive.
During their monthly meeting, the ARIN Board of Directors approved and authorized acceptance of $372,964 of American Rescue Plan, Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Relief Funds from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. These specific funds have been earmarked for programs that will support the specific needs of homeless children and youth that were incurred or will be incurred starting July 1st of this year. The program will be expanded by September 30th of 2024.
The board also authorized changes to the IU’s Health and Safety plan, and approved IU policies for virtual meetings, virtual attendance and the use of Livestream video.
