Indiana sophomores Harrison Martineau and Trevor Todd both advanced to the WPIAL Golf Finals Monday in the semis.
Martineau played solid golf tee to green and shot 39 on both the front nine and back nine to easily make it to the next round with a six over par 78. Todd scrambled to make it to the final after shooting a 7 over par 43 on the front nine. He played the first seven holes of the back nine even par, but struggled down the stretch finishing with a bogey and a double bogey to finish with a 39 on the back nine and an 82 overall. After sitting and waiting for approximating 45 minutes for the remaining groups to finish, Todd ended up one stroke ahead of the final qualifying spot, which was determined in a playoff.
Martineau and Todd will move on to Nemacolin Country Club next Tuesday. The top 14 of 36 from the WPIAL finals will move on directly to the state championships.
