GOLF
At the District 6 boys golf semifinals at Windber yesterday, the Heritage Conference placed four players in the finals next Tuesday. West Shamokin’s Sean McCullough shot a 74 to finish second, seven strokes behind St. Joseph’s Timothy Peters. River Valley’s Braden Staats also qualified with an 83, and Northern Cambria had two golfers make the finals: Brady Houser shot an 85 and John Zemrose had an 86.
Indiana’s boys golfers took down Greensburg Salem by eight strokes yesterday. Trevor Todd was medalist with a 37 at the Hannastown Golf Club. Harrison Martineau shot a 41. Michael Lubold and Gabe Nettleton were also in the forties, with a 46 and a 47.
The Indiana girls nipped Penn Trafford by one stroke, 204-205. Medalist Ally Conrad fired a 45. Jenny Todd was also in the forties, with a 49.
VOLLEYBALL
Indiana beat Greensburg Salem 3-1, led by Emily Madey’s 39 assists and 7 digs.
Homer-Center swept United, as Ashlynn Kerr had 34 service points and 9 aces.
