GOLF
Indiana’s Harrison Martineau and Trevor Todd were two of six golfers who qualified for the WPIAL semifinal yesterday at the sectional qualifier at the Indiana Country Club. Everyone who shot 80 or better qualified, and Martineau had an outstanding day, firing a 2-under 69 to take top honors. He scored two eagles on the front nine. Todd finished third at 5-over 76.
The semifinal will be on Monday at Willowbrook Country Club in Apollo.
VOLLEYBALL
Indiana’s girls beat Penn Hills, 3-0, in a volleyball home section match. Emily Madey had 24 assists and eight digs. Audrey Josephson had 18 assists. Abbie Huey had 10 kills and four aces. Lizzy Lubold had six blocks and seven kills. Lily Cunningham had 15 digs. JV also won, 2-0.
JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL
The Indiana Junior High football team lost to Belle Vernon, 30-6, yesterday. Levi Porter scored Indiana’s only touchdown on a 67-yard run. Indiana is 1-1 with its next game at home next Thursday against Burrell.
