Students who attend the Evergreen After School Club in the United School District will have the start of their year pushed back two weeks due to staffing issues.
In an announcement on the United School District’s website, the delay is due to lack of staffing at the United School District. Employment ads have been put out in advance of today, but there has been little to no response to those ads. If the staffing problems continue, United may be forced to cancel the program for the fall semester.
The program needs people to work with kids in Kindergarten through sixth grades, while demonstrating enthusiasm and a positive attitude towards learning. According to the district website, staffers that are hired will “lead small group hands-on educational enrichment activities, provide positive role-modeling and guidance, and interact daily in physical activity.”
Anyone interested can contact Cheri Shultz at United School District.
